Who is behind the project?
Ollada de Tinta is led by Mara Seronda, founder and Creative Director of the imprint. She oversees its editorial vision and coordinates each publishing project in collaboration with writers, illustrators, translators, and educational professionals. 

Is Ollada de Tinta a traditional publisher?
No. Ollada de Tinta is an independent publishing imprint. Our editorial independence allows us to combine traditional publishing values with contemporary digital technologies and international editorial collaboration. This flexible approach enables us to develop each title according to our own standards of literary quality, educational value, and visual design. 

Are the books original works or adaptations?
We publish both original books and carefully crafted literary adaptations. Our adaptations use clear, engaging language while remaining faithful to the spirit, themes, and enduring appeal of the original works, making classic literature more accessible to today’s young readers.

In which languages are the books available?
Our books are available in Spanish and English, with selected titles also published in French and German. Availability varies by title. Some books are offered in bilingual editions and language-specific variants, including British English. 

What formats are available?
Depending on the title, our books may be available in paperback, hardcover, large-format editions, and eBooks. Selected titles are also available as dedicated Classroom Editions, featuring additional educational resources for schools and independent learning. 

Who are your books for?

Our books are created for young readers across a range of ages, from early childhood through the teenage years. Each title has its own recommended age range based on its themes, reading level, and format.

Our collection includes picture books for younger readers, as well as accessible editions of classic literature for older children and teens. Many titles can also be enjoyed with families, teachers, and educators.

Why adapt classic literature? 

We believe great stories should remain accessible to every generation. Our adaptations preserve the essence of each classic while presenting it in language and formats that today’s young readers can genuinely engage with and understand. 

Are any editions designed specifically for classroom use?
Yes. Selected titles are available in a Classroom Edition, designed specifically for instructional use in educational settings.

What is a Classroom Edition?
A Classroom Edition includes a structured, chapter-based pedagogical framework with comprehension questions, discussion prompts, creative activities, and contextual notes.
It also provides a coherent assessment framework designed to support classroom evaluation across reading, writing, discussion, and creative response.

How is it different from the Standard Edition?
The Standard Edition is intended for individual or shared reading.
The Classroom Edition integrates instructional and assessment components directly into the book, making it suitable for structured classroom use and guided instruction.

Which grade levels are these books suitable for?
Classroom Editions are primarily designed for upper elementary and middle school students, typically across Grades 5–8.
Suitability may vary depending on the specific title, edition, and instructional goals.

Can these books be used with developing or reluctant readers?
Yes. The adaptations use clear, accessible language, short chapters, and structured support that help students engage with the text and participate in classroom discussion.

Are the books suitable for ESL / ELL students?
